The origins of Chiaja
The name
Chiaja (or Chiaia) is a district of Naples where the seafront reveals itself to the entire city. The upper districts overlook Chiaja as if observing the beach from a window of a seaside house. And this is precisely the ancient meaning of the word Chiaja, from the Latin Plaga, then through the Catalan Platja and the Spanish Playa, Naples welcomes and adopts this term, enriching its vocabulary.
The logo
The logo depicts the gulf of Naples as seen from Posillipo. It naturally forms a C, recalling the name Chiaja, the Caracciolo seafront, and the brand's founder, Andrea Caracciolo.
The design
To add dynamism and comfort to the design, the case is made with movable lugs. These ensure that the watch follows the curvature of the wrist, making it an extension of the strap. With the lugs bent, the case and consequently the dial are highlighted on the wrist. One watch, any wrist.
